As the dissolution of CLMA moves forward, the goal is to make the transition of aligning with ASCP as smooth as possible. Many of you have had questions and concerns about CLMA membership renewals, communities, chapters, and more. Below you can find more information that will help as we transition.

Membership

We encourage you to continue your commitment to the profession with membership through ASCP. More than 70% of 2021 CLMA members have already become ASCP members, and starting in January 2022, ASCP will be reaching out to CLMA members with instructions on how to select your Chapter or Chapters of choice. Please note that ASCP membership is required in order to join and engage with affiliated CLMA Chapters.

As a member of ASCP, you have an opportunity to customize your education by purchasing an unlimited online CE package for $39. If you need CE before the end of the year, check out ASCP’s extensive educational portfolio. The online educational portal has more than 800+ courses to help fulfill CE needs. Unlimited CE can be purchased when you renew your membership at www.ascp.org/renew. If you have already renewed simply login to your account at www.ascp.org/login and follow the prompts to add Unlimited Online CE to your membership.

CLMA Chapters

Regarding CLMA Chapters, ASCP will send out information in January about the activation of CLMA Chapters in your local area. For 2022, ASCP is waiving the Chapter administrative fee as we work through the transition.

Website and Online Communities

ASCP is working on a plan to transition the CLMA website and its communities to ASCP.org. Until then, the CLMA.org website will still be live so members can access online communities and journals. Members may also renew their membership with ASCP by clicking on the Renew Now button on the CLMA website. ASCP will provide ample notice of the transition to ASCP.org.
