Political Action Committee Mission Statement
The CLMA Political Action Committee (CLMA PAC) is a non-partisan, non-profit entity established to further the association’s legislative agenda and to further the interests of CLMA members by giving them a collective voice in government.
Contributions to candidates are based on furthering the collective interests of CLMA’s membership, demonstrated past support and potential future support, and knowledge and understanding of health-care issues related to clinical laboratories. Recommendations for contributions to candidates shall come to the CLMA PAC Board of Directors for approval from the association’s members. Federal Law requires that all contributions to the CLMA PAC are purely voluntary. CLMA PAC contributions are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Corporate contributions are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per calendar year.
