CLMA Chapter Success Standards Form
Overview:
The CLMA Chapter Success Standards were introduced by the Membership and Chapter Development Committee (MCDC) in 2006 to provide reasonable, measurable standards for Chapter performance that will enable Chapters to meet member needs, recruit new and retain existing members, develop leaders, and keep yourself apprised of how well your Chapter is succeeding.

Timeline:
Chapters receive the form to complete and submit to the Executive Office in November which details all of their year’s activities. Chapters are evaluated based on their previous year’s performance in conjunction with the CLMA Chapter Success Standards the following January.

What are Core Requirements?
Core Requirements are activities that the MCDC has determined essential for all Chapters to meet to be considered a healthy CLMA Chapter. The intention of the requirements is to ensure that all CLMA Chapters are operating at a positive baseline level and are performing the primary functions needed for success.

What if my Chapter does not meet the Core Requirements?
Chapters identified as not meeting one or more of the core requirements will be notified after the evaluation in January. They will have a defined amount of time to either align to the core requirements or to prepare an action plan for meeting the core standards. The CLMA Executive Office and the MCDC will work closely with the identified Chapter to offer resources and tools. After the allotted time, those Chapters still not meeting the core requirements, or that have not submitted an action plan, will be referred to the MCDC for further action.

What are Silver, Gold, and Platinum Innovation Standards?
The Silver, Gold, and Platinum Innovation Standards are levels of success that surpass the core standards set by the MCDC. All Chapters that meet the core requirements are eligible to earn additional points toward this higher level of recognition. These additional activities are not mandatory, but strongly encouraged.

If Chapters have questions or need suggestions for meeting the requirements or standards, please contact CLMA 312/321-5111 or at membership@clma.org
