Background of the Greater New York Chapter of CLMA
CLMA GREATER NEW YORK (CLMAGNY) is your local chapter of an international organization with approximately 6,300 members.

CLMAGNY members represent both public and private organizations, as well as vendors and providers. Our Members are responsible for laboratories and clinical services in hospitals and health-care networks, group practices, and independent settings, as well as private companies.

CLMAGNY membership comes from a diverse geographic area and our goal is to enhance managerial and leadership skills; promote efficient, productive, and high-quality operations; and advocate on behalf of quality patient care and the membership.

CLMAGNY represents the current and future leaders in our industry: executives, administrators, medical directors, managers, supervisors, directors, technologists, coordinators, team leaders and project facilitators who are responsible for any aspect of laboratory/clinical services. These can also include outreach, compliance, safety, quality assurance, point-of-care testing, and information systems.

In order to enhance our scope and at the same time serve our member's needs, we have partnered with our industry associates, manufacturers and distributors of supplies, equipment, and services. This association helps to keep the cost of educational seminars low and allows us to refrain from charging local dues. Our series of meetings throughout the year provide educational and networking opportunities.
