Friday, March 21 - As a result of the cancellation of ThinkLab `08 scheduled for March 29 - April 1, 2008, the Atlanta Housing Bureau has cancelled all ThinkLab `08 room reservations made through the Housing Bureau. Any room deposits will be credited directly from the individual hotels and not through the Bureau. In the event that you are still traveling to Atlanta and would like to retain your hotel room, you will need to contact your hotel directly to reconfirm your reservation. The hotels have agreed to honor the ThinkLab `08 room rate for that same time period. For ThinkLab `08 attendees who did not reserve their rooms through the Housing Bureau, or, for those who booked their hotel outside of the ThinkLab `08 block, please contact your hotel directly regarding your reservation. CLMA is in the process of preparing additional attendee information including refunds of conference registration fees and airline refunds. CLMA will provide this information to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your continued patience as we respond to this situation. Thursday, March 20 --CLMA has just been notified by officials at the Georgia World Congress Center that the site of our conference will not be available due to serious safety issues caused by damage resulting from the March 14 tornado that struck downtown Atlanta. Unfortunately, CLMA has been forced to cancel ThinkLab `08, scheduled for March 29 through April 1, 2008. CLMA staff has been on-site in Atlanta viewing the damage first-hand and has been in close communication with key officials at the Georgia World Congress Center and Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. CLMA is sensitive to the needs of CLMA members and industry partners. We are busy working to resolve the unique and challenging issues created by this unfortunate act of nature. Over the upcoming days, we will be sharing information to address issues and concerns you have. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and appreciate your patience, understanding and support as we move forward. |
