CLMA
Celebrated
Lab Week
By JoAnne Milbourn
CLMA President
April 20-26, 2008 marked National Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (NMLPW) when approximately 265,000 medical laboratory professionals who diligently serve our industry were recognized.
Some members have contributed stories about how they celebrated lab week to the May/June issue of CLMA's new newsletter, "Laboratory Management."
The theme of Lab Week 2008, "Laboratory Professionals: Delivering Today's Results for a Healthier Tomorrow", truly captures the importance placed upon Laboratorians and helps bring their vital contribution to the forefront.
NMLPW provides the opportunity to acknowledge the professionalism and dedication of laboratory professionals who, most often, remain behind the scenes. Without this critical link, the face of quality healthcare would greatly suffer. CLMA celebrates all laboratorians who make up this great industry.
CLMA has been forced to cancel ThinkLab `08, scheduled for March 29 through April 1, 2008, because of damage resulting from the March 14 tornado that struck downtown Atlanta and severely damaged the Georgia World Congress Center. The CLMA Board of Directors, during a conference call on Thursday, March 27, 2008, voted not to reschedule CLMA’s ThinkLab `08, sponsored by Orchard Software, for another time during 2008. To read more about this and other details about the cancellation, click here for the most recent announcements. Please click here to access an important update about refunds and/or rolling over your ThinkLab '08 registration to ThinkLab '09.
